Watson Convicted of Murder

A jury at the Washington Parish Courthouse found Quentin Watson guilty of two charges of first-degree murder. Watson was convicted in the 2008 shooting deaths of Anita Smith and her nephew,William Lewis, in Smith's home in East Acres subdivision.  The jury only needed 45 minutes of deliberation before returning the guilty verdict. The conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without benefit of probation or parole.
